Carole Barice graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Chemistry. She then graduated from Florida State University School of Law, J.D. with honors. She was a member of the Florida State University Law Review, and has been practicing law since 1976. Carole is AV Preeminent rated, and was selected by Martindale-Hubbell for the Bar Register of Preeminent Woman Lawyers.

Carole is Board Certified in City, County, and Local Government Law. She is also a Supreme Court Certified Mediator for Florida Appellate, Circuit and County Courts. Carole is admitted to practice law in Florida, Michigan and Alaska. She is a member of the Citrus-Hernando Inn of Court.

Previously, Carole was General Counsel for the Florida Department of State, Chief Cabinet Aide to the Secretary of State, and Assistant General Counsel for the Florida Department of Environmental Regulation. She was a Founding Director and Vice President and Secretary of the Anthony House Shelter for the Homeless. She has been a Hearing Officer for Zoning and Land Use for the City of Orlando and for Orange County, Code Enforcement Special Magistrate for both Orange County and Pinellas County, and Assistant City Attorney for the cities of Altamonte Springs, Cocoa Beach, Deltona, and Dunnellon. Carole served on the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council and the Energy 2020 Committee of the State of Florida.

Carole served on the Grievance Committee of The Florida Bar and the City, County & Local Government Section Certification Committee of The Florida Bar, and currently serves on the Senior Lawyers Committee of The Florida Bar.

Carole currently serves as Attorney for the Lake County Water Authority, the Lake Apopka Natural Gas District, the Homosassa Special Water District, the Citrus County Mosquito Control District, and Assistant City Attorney for the City of Weeki Wachee. Carole practices in the areas of Environmental Law, Land Use, Governmental Law, Administrative Law, Appellate Practice, Real Property, Contracts, and General Litigation.
